Merrell Trail Glove ReviewThe Merrell Trail Glove is really a minimalist running footwear aimed at the barefoot running market, however I've found them just the thing for just running around town. I bought manboobs in April 2011 after collecting an ankle injury towards the end of 2010, and after researching cures online I read that going "barefoot" helps strengthen the ankles and legs so I thought I'd give it a try... I've not been disappointed.
Why buy manboobs of shoes for going "barefoot"? Well I'd want to go "proper skin on the pavement" barefoot, but a few things put me off, the very first being that I do not like things puncturing my skin (which is often a real danger whilst walking / running the streets), and secondly I don't want to seem like a weirdo!
The Merrell Trail Gloves are fantastic as there is no raised-sole, which means you are connecting while using ground that you weren't wearing shoes. I've just been running around in them approximately a month (with many very short jogs as my ankle isn't 100% healed yet) and I've really noticed the increase in my calf strength. I can't wait to get running and take full advantage as I'm definitely "sold" on barefoot running.
